How’s it going?

I wanted to give a brief update on the status of HCG. A lot has happened in the last month and I’m pleased to share some of the progress! Recently, we have moved two young men, each into their own apartment. HCG has been able to pay for the first month rent along with some furnishings. The generous donations of furnishings and finances, from local churches and friends of this organization, have allowed the young men to turn their apartments into a home.

Another focus of HCG is the continued development of independent living skills. We’ve seen success along with struggles as these young men learn to budget, spend, and save. The guys are both employed full-time and we are making plans for next steps regarding future vocation and education.

HCG is blessed to partner with several local churches, agencies, and friends within the community. These partnerships have allowed for these young men, in several ways, transition from high school to young adulthood. As HCG moves forward towards future goals, consider partnering with us while we work with other young adults in the community. Next week, I’ll update more in depth the goals and plans HCG is working towards. Please keep us in prayer as we seek to do God’s will in this community.
